Job Title: Production Assistant (Food Industry) 

 

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Manager to oversee our food manufacturing operations. The Production Manager will be responsible for ensuring that production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities:  Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resources and minimizing downtime.

 Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve production processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity. 

Quality Control: Implement and enforce strict quality control measures to ensure that products meet regulatory standards and customer expectations.

Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.  Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, coordinating with procurement and logistics teams to maintain optimal stock levels.

 Cost Management: Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality or safety.  Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules for production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency.

 Communication: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, quality assurance, and logistics, to coordinate production activities and address any issues or concerns.

 Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for continuous improvement, utilizing data-driven insights and best practices to streamline processes and enhance overall performance. Qualifications:  Any Bachelor's degree preferably Food Science,  Business Administration, or a related field..

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve production targets and quality standards.  Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

 Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
