Description

We are looking for a skilled Fitter & Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both fitting metal components and performing welding operations to assemble and repair metal structures and machinery. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fitting:

    • Component Assembly: Measure, cut, and fit metal components according to technical drawings, blueprints, or specifications.
    • Align and Position: Align and position components and assemblies accurately before welding. Use tools such as clamps, jigs, and fixtures to secure parts.
    • Fabrication: Fabricate and modify parts to meet precise specifications. Perform tasks like drilling, grinding, and milling as necessary.

  • Welding:

    • Weld Operations: Perform MIG, TIG, or Stick welding on metal components and structures, following specified welding techniques and safety standards.
    • Inspection: Inspect welds for defects and ensure they meet quality standards and project specifications.
    • Equipment Setup: Set up and calibrate welding equipment, including selecting the correct welding wire, gas, and parameters for each job.
