Description

To assist in the installation and maintenance of fiber optic cables and related equipment. Need to work under the supervision of more experienced technicians and provide support during various stages of the fiber optic wire laying process.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the installation of fiber optic cables according to project specifications and industry standards.
  2. Assist with cable pulling, routing, and securing, ensuring that cables are properly laid and secured in conduits, ducts, or other designated pathways.
  3. Support more experienced technicians in performing cable splicing and termination tasks, including preparing cables, stripping insulation, and making connections.
  4. Assist in the installation and configuration of fiber optic equipment, such as optical splitters, enclosures, and termination panels.
  5. Assist in the documentation of cable installation activities, including recording cable lengths, documenting splicing details, and updating project records.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the proper storage and handling of tools, equipment, and materials.
  7. Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols, ensuring personal and team safety during all work activities.
  8. Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure the timely completion of assigned tasks.
