Description

Job Overview: A Hardware & Networking Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware and networking components within an organization. This role ensures the smooth functioning of network systems, devices, and the supporting infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware systems (servers, desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices).
  • Manage and troubleshoot local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and network infrastructure.
  • Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
  • Set up and manage network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control.
  • Perform system backups, data recovery, and disaster recovery operations.
  • Provide technical support for hardware and network-related issues.
  • Manage hardware and network documentation, such as user guides and network diagrams.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to design, implement, and upgrade network infrastructure.
  • Evaluate and recommend hardware and network improvements for enhanced performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in hardware and network management.
  • Proficiency in network protocols and tools (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Experience with hardware systems, including routers, switches, and network servers.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware issues and perform repairs or replacements.
  • Knowledge of network security and firewall systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills
