The MGPS (Medical Gas Pipeline System) Maintenance Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of medical gas systems within healthcare facilities. This role ensures compliance with safety standards and regulations while providing a safe and reliable environment for patient care.
• *Key Responsibilities:**
- **Maintenance and Inspection:** Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of medical gas pipelines, valves, and associated equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- **Repair Work:** Diagnose and repair malfunctions in medical gas systems, including oxygen, nitrous oxide, and vacuum systems.
- **Regulatory Compliance:** Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations and standards, including NFPA, JCAHO, and local codes.
- **Documentation:** Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs in accordance with hospital policies.
- **System Upgrades:** Assist in the installation and upgrading of medical gas systems as needed, following all relevant guidelines.
- **Emergency Response:** Respond promptly to any medical gas system emergencies, troubleshooting issues to restore functionality.

- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
