Air Conditioning Technicians are primarily responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting systems, with duties and responsibilities including:

Inspect and assess systems to identify any potential problems
Repair or replace worn out or defective parts in the air conditioning system
Install new air conditioning systems and ensure they are functioning efficiently
Perform routine maintenance on air conditioning systems to ensure they are operating at optimal capacity
Test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications and to detect and locate malfunctions
Advise clients on how to reduce energy consumption and maintain their air conditioning systems
Document each aspect of a system, including all maintenance and repair work, as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance
Ensure all installations and repairs meet industry standards and comply with local, state, and federal regulations
Respond to emergency calls for system repair and maintenance
Order necessary parts and supplies to complete all tasks
