Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator cum Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment, while also providing hands-on training to aspiring forklift operators. The role requires expertise in forklift operation, adherence to safety standards, and a passion for mentoring and teaching others.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Forklift Operations:
o Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials in a safe and efficient manner.
o Perform pre-operation checks and inspections to ensure forklifts are in good working condition.
o Assist in the organization and storage of goods and materials within the warehouse.
o Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and operational procedures during forklift operations.
2. Training Delivery:
o Conduct classroom and hands-on training sessions for forklift operation, including safety practices, operational techniques, and maintenance procedures.
o Create training materials such as manuals, presentations, and assessment tools for trainee learning.
o Assess trainee performance through evaluations, practical tests, and observations.
o Ensure that trainees understand and adhere to forklift operation protocols, safety standards, and maintenance practices.
3. Equipment Maintenance:
o Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on forklifts as necessary to ensure optimal functionality.
o Report mechanical issues or malfunctions to the maintenance department promptly.
4. Safety and Compliance:
o Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed during both operations and training.
o Stay updated on industry safety standards, forklift regulations, and training best practices.
o Ensure compliance with local and industry regulations regarding forklift operations.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain accurate records of all training sessions, including attendance, evaluations, and trainee performance.
o Prepare and submit operational reports, maintenance logs, and training progress updates to supervisors.
