Job Title: Welder
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for welding and assembling metal parts and components using various welding techniques and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Welding and Assembly: Weld and assemble metal parts and components using various welding techniques, such as Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW).
2. Equipment Operation: Operate welding equipment, such as welding machines, grinders, and sanders.
3. Quality Control: Inspect welded joints and assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy.
4. Safety Protocols: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
5. Material Preparation: Prepare materials for welding, including cleaning, cutting, and fitting.
6. Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret blueprints and welding specifications to ensure accurate welding and assembly.
Requirements:
1. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certification in welding preferred.
2. Experience: 1-2 years of experience in welding and assembly; experience with various welding techniques and equipment.
3. Certifications: AWS (American Welding Society) certification or equivalent preferred.
4. Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
5. Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Working Conditions:
1. Work Environment: Work in a manufacturing or fabrication environment with exposure to noise, heat, and sparks.
2. Shift Work: May be required to work varying shifts, including overtime.
