Description

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Java Developer to join our development team. The Java Developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Java-based applications, ensuring they are reliable, scalable, and secure. You will work closely with other developers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Application Development:

    • Design, develop, and maintain Java applications and services.
    • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
    • Implement software solutions based on business requirements and technical specifications.

  2. Backend Development:

    • Develop and maintain the server-side logic using Java and relevant frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate).
    • Create and manage RESTful APIs for communication between front-end and back-end.
    • Integrate applications with databases and third-party services.

  3. Database Management:

    • Work with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and implement database schemas.
    • Write optimized SQL queries for data manipulation and retrieval.
    • Ensure efficient database management and implement strategies for data security and backup.

  4. Testing & Debugging:

    • Write unit tests and conduct system testing to ensure the quality and reliability of the application.
    • Debug and troubleshoot issues in the application and implement fixes.
    • Conduct performance testing and optimization.

  5. Code Review & Collaboration:

    • Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices and coding standards are followed.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features.
    • Provide technical support and mentorship to junior developers.

  6. Application Deployment & Maintenance:

    • Deploy applications to production environments and ensure continuous integration.
    • Monitor the performance of applications and optimize where necessary.
    • Perform regular maintenance and updates to keep the application running smoothly.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Java Developer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Java programming and related frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate).
  • Knowledge of object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and writing SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with version control tools, such as Git.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of software development methodologies like Agile or Scrum.
