Description

  1. Team Management:

    • Supervise and lead a team of technicians, mechanics, or workers.
    • Assign tasks and ensure that they are completed efficiently and on time.
    • Provide guidance and training to staff members to improve their skills and productivity.
  2. Resource Allocation:

    • Manage the allocation of tools, equipment, and materials required for various jobs.
    • Ensure the workshop is well-stocked with necessary supplies, and that tools are properly maintained and in good working condition.
  3. Work Scheduling and Coordination:

    • Plan and schedule work activities based on job priorities and deadlines.
    • Ensure all tasks are completed in line with service or production targets.
    • Coordinate work between different departments or teams, ensuring smooth workflow.
  4. Customer Interaction (if applicable):

    • Communicate with clients to understand their requirements, provide updates on progress, and ensure satisfaction.
    • Address customer concerns or complaints, ensuring high levels of service are maintained.
  5. Quality Control:

    • Monitor the quality of work being carried out, ensuring that all tasks meet company and industry standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks on work completed by technicians.
  6. Health & Safety Compliance:

    • Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations in the workshop.
    • Ensure staff are aware of safety procedures and that they follow them.
    • Conduct risk assessments and take action to mitigate any identified hazards.
  7. Inventory and Stock Control:

    • Oversee the management of stock and inventory, ensuring materials are ordered when needed and reducing waste.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock levels, tools, and equipment.
  8. Reporting and Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of jobs, repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory.
    • Provide reports on workshop activities, performance, and any issues to management.
    • Ensure that job cards, invoices, and other administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  9. Performance Monitoring:

    • Monitor technician performance, productivity, and attendance.
    • Ensure the team meets key performance indicators (KPIs) and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  10. Problem Solving:

  • Address any operational issues or challenges that arise during the course of the workday.
  • Troubleshoot problems related to equipment, workflow, or staffing, finding solutions to minimize delays and ensure efficiency.
