Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced PGT Biology Teacher to join our CBSE school in Chennai. The ideal candidate should have a strong subject knowledge, excellent teaching skills, and a commitment to fostering a dynamic learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive Biology lessons for Classes XI & XII as per the CBSE curriculum.
  • Develop lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments aligned with CBSE guidelines.
  • Encourage critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and scientific curiosity in students.
  • Conduct practical sessions in the laboratory and ensure the proper use of lab equipment.
  • Assess student performance through tests, assignments, and projects, and provide timely feedback.
  • Prepare students for board examinations with structured guidance and regular revision sessions.
  • Utilize innovative teaching methodologies, including digital tools and audiovisual aids.
  • Maintain discipline and foster a positive classroom environment.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and professional development programs.
  • Engage with parents through PTMs and provide academic updates on student progress.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Biology / Botany / Zoology / Life Sciences with B.Ed. (Mandatory)
  • Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of teaching experience at the PGT level in a CBSE school.
  • Strong knowledge of the CBSE curriculum and latest NEP guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Proficiency in using technology-driven teaching tools and online learning platforms.

Preferred Skills:

  • Passion for teaching and mentoring students.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and create an engaging learning experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with CBSE board exam evaluation patterns.
