Roles & ResponsibilityAble to prepare Costing for Machining items.Lead the process development activities (flowchart, process design reviews, process optimization, process design, validation of new and existing products, logistics, manufacturing sequence)Ensure all necessary product information (PFMEA, Control Plan, process flow charts, instruction sheets, etc) are current and readily availableDevelop and execute plans to qualify internal manufacturing operations and/or external suppliers in order to meet new product introduction fulfillment and qualityImproving current manufacturing processes (reduction of rejects, downtimes)Identify capital, expense and resource needs to execute projectsServe as an Expert Advanced Manufacturing Engineer in a highly cross-functional environment with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, product management and suppliers to optimize cost competitiveness and manufacturabilityPrecision Machining Technology (Milling, Turning, ), 4-Axis Milling CAM programming, High / Low Volume AutomationStrong technical background covering Manufacturing, Advanced Manufacturing, or EngineeringProvide technical guidance and solutions to optimize cost competitiveness, quality excellence, and cycle time leadership across the full product lifecycleImplementation of new production equipment and operator training to meet standards and final sign-off requirementsDevelop concepts that include specification of equipment and make recommendations for the technical selection of purchased equipmentEmploy lean manufacturing principles to optimise effectiveness of the manufacturing operations to ensure competitive pricingServe in a highly cross-functional environment with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, product management, and suppliers to optimize cost competitiveness and manufacturabilityCultivate proficiency in Critical Thinking & Problem Solving.
