Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITI - Mechanical
1. Machining & Fabrication:
Operate CNC, milling, lathe, grinding, and other precision machines to fabricate tools and components.
Manufacture and modify jigs, dies, molds, and precision fixtures as per design specifications.
Perform fine-tuning, polishing, and finishing of machined parts.
2. Blueprint & Technical Interpretation:
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to create precise components.
Determine machine settings, cutting speeds, and tooling requirements based on material properties.
3. Quality Control & Inspection:
Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure part accuracy.
Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections to maintain high-quality standards.
Identify and correct machining errors to prevent defects in production.
4. Machine Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on machines to ensure smooth operation.
Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and collaborate with the maintenance team for repairs.
5. Process Improvement & Efficiency:
Optimize tooling selection, cutting techniques, and machining processes for maximum efficiency.
Recommend design improvements for tools and fixtures to enhance production performance.
