Job Title: CNC Machine Operator, Programmer & Setter

Location: Pollachi, Coimbatore
Experience: 3+ years

1. CNC Machine Operator

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC, VMC, and HMC machines efficiently.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Load raw materials and inspect finished components for quality.
  • Use measuring tools like Vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Monitor machine operations and adjust settings if required.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.
  • Maintain production logs and follow safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • ITI/Diploma in Mechanical or relevant field.
  • 3+ years of experience in CNC/VMC/HMC machine operations.
  • Basic knowledge of G-code and M-code.
  • Ability to work in shifts and meet production targets.

2. CNC Programmer

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and modify CNC programs using G-code and M-code.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and 3D models.
  • Select proper cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for different materials.
  • Optimize machine efficiency and reduce cycle times.
  • Work with operators and setters to ensure accurate program execution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve programming-related errors.
  • Maintain program files and update revisions as needed.

Requirements

  • Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of CNC programming experience (FANUC, Siemens, or Heidenhain controllers preferred).
  • Expertise in CAM software like Mastercam, NX, or SolidCAM.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and machining parameters.

3. CNC Machine Setter

Responsibilities

  • Set up and prepare CNC, VMC, and HMC machines for production.
  • Install and align tools, fixtures, and workpieces as per specifications.
  • Adjust machine parameters like tool offsets, speeds, and feeds.
  • Conduct first-piece inspection and approve production runs.
  • Assist in troubleshooting machine setup issues.
  • Maintain tooling inventory and ensure proper storage.
  • Work closely with programmers and operators to ensure efficiency.

Requirements

  • ITI/Diploma in Mechanical or relevant field.
  • 3+ years of experience in CNC machine setup.
  • Strong knowledge of tool selection, offsets, and work holding techniques.
  • Ability to interpret CNC programs and engineering drawings.
  • Experience in first-article inspection and process optimization.
