Job Description: Maintenance Incharge
Company: Auto Diecasting Company

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership & Team Management:

    • Supervise and lead the maintenance team, providing guidance and support.
    • Assign tasks and ensure staff have the necessary tools and resources.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety within the team.

  2. Maintenance Strategy & Planning:

    • Develop and implement a preventive maintenance plan to reduce equipment downtime and extend lifespan.
    • Plan and schedule maintenance activities to minimize production disruptions.
    • Oversee shift rotations and maintenance schedules for optimal coverage.

  3. Equipment Maintenance & Repairs:

    • Oversee maintenance and repair of all production equipment, including die-casting machines and conveyors.
    • Coordinate troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems.
    • Ensure repairs are carried out promptly to restore machinery to optimal working conditions.

  4. Inventory & Spare Parts Management:

    • Maintain an organized inventory of tools, spare parts, and maintenance supplies.
    • Work with procurement to ensure timely replenishment of critical spare parts.

  5. Safety & Compliance:

    • Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety, health, and environmental regulations.
    • Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and corrective actions as necessary.
    • Enforce safety protocols to create a safe working environment for all team members.

  6. Budget Management & Cost Control:

    • Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
    • Monitor and control expenditures related to parts, labor, and repairs.

  7. Continuous Improvement:

    • Identify areas for improvement in maintenance operations and implement strategies for increased efficiency.
    • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machine performance.

  8. Reporting & Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and parts usage.
    • Prepare reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and costs for management review.

  9. Emergency Response & Support:

    • Lead the response to urgent mechanical failures, minimizing production downtime.
    • Coordinate with external service providers for specialized repairs as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5-7 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in manufacturing or die-casting environments.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing a maintenance team.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and industrial automation systems.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and potential hazards.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and working in tight spaces.
