Job Overview: The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the production department of the aluminum diecasting plant. This role ensures that production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and operational procedures are met efficiently. The supervisor will lead, train, and coordinate production staff, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to company policies. Key Responsibilities:
Production Oversight:
Supervise and monitor the entire production process, ensuring that aluminum diecasting production runs smoothly, efficiently, and according to schedule.
Team Leadership:
Lead a team of machine operators, assemblers, and other production personnel. Assign daily tasks and ensure a productive and safe work environment.
Quality Control:
Ensure that the diecasting components meet the required quality standards and specifications. Conduct regular inspections and audits of products.
Process Improvement:
Identify areas for improvement in the production process. Propose and implement cost-effective solutions for process optimization and continuous improvement.
Safety Management:
Enforce adherence to all safety regulations and protocols in the workplace to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of the team.
Production Planning:
Assist in production scheduling and planning to ensure efficient use of resources and timely delivery of orders.
Inventory and Equipment Management:
Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials, components, and finished goods. Monitor equipment performance and ensure timely maintenance and repair.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records related to production output, downtime, safety reports, and other production-related data.
Training and Development:
Provide on-the-job training to new employees and existing team members. Foster a positive learning environment to improve skill sets and productivity.
Requirements:
Education:
A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience in a similar role in manufacturing).
Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of diecasting processes, machinery, and quality standards.
Proficiency in reading technical drawings and specifications.
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
