Job Title: Fitter (with ITI trade certification)
Key Responsibilities:
Assembly and Installation:
Assemble and install mechanical components and machinery parts in accordance with blueprints, manuals, or specifications.
Fit and adjust parts of machines and mechanical systems to ensure proper functioning.
Maintenance and Repair:
Conduct preventive maintenance and repair tasks for machinery, engines, and equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs to ensure the equipment is running efficiently.
Measuring and Cutting:
Use measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and rulers, to ensure components meet required specifications.
Cut, shape, and trim materials using tools like saws, grinders, and drills.
Welding and Fabrication:
Perform welding, cutting, or fabricating metal parts or structures, if required.
Ensure high-quality welds that meet safety and operational standards.
Tool Handling and Maintenance:
Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and machine tools.
Keep tools and equipment in good condition and properly stored.
Documentation and Reporting:
Keep detailed records of repairs, maintenance, and installations performed.
Report any issues, malfunctions, or breakdowns to supervisors or engineers.
Safety Compliance:
Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate safety gear to minimize risks.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Skills Required:
Technical Skills: Knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and machinery.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and find practical solutions.
Attention to Detail: Accuracy in measuring, assembling, and fitting parts.

Qualifications:
Education: ITI certification in Fitter or similar trade.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a mechanical workshop or related field.
